Tarot cards for this week ~ 6 of Wands and The Moon

(3rd – 9th August 2020)

Well last week I was guided to pull an Oracle card as a bonus card for you and this week while shuffling the cards and asking what the Tarot card and message for next week was to be, I had two cards jump out, and so two cards this week is what you have.

Lets start with the 6 of wands and I will then move on to The Moon card and bring it all together at the end with the message for the week.

The 6 of Wands

The 6 of Wands when it appears is about success and accomplishments, drive, influence, putting yourself out there to be noticed, optimism and inspiring others. The card is letting you know that something you have been working hard towards is finally beginning to show successes and it’s time to allow yourself the permission to be proud of your achievements and the progress you have made so far. Taking time out to look back at your progress will allow you, and inspire you to also make plans for moving forward. What should your next steps be?

Things to note.

If this is not about you, then be aware that someone around you could be craving the recognition they deserve for all their hard work and achievements that are either going unnoticed or being taken for granted.

We should also remember that the only person we should truly be trying to impress is ourselves, accepting that we are worthy of success and being grateful and accepting when it is noticed. We should also be guarding and controlling our “ego” in the process to make sure the success as it is said “doesn’t go to our head”.

The Moon Card

When we look at the moon we can see it sometimes as we do with life, either full of mystery, magic and wonder or cold, bleak and uninviting.

The moon card talks to us about illusions, about hidden truths, intuition, perception, fears, the unknown.

At times in life when we are trying to move forward, either in life in general or striving to reach our goals and dreams we sometimes feel lost, scared, fearful about our path because we can’t always know, we can not see the end results, will we be successful in our endeavours or not? have we made the right decisions? are we going in the right direction? This is the nature of the unconscious mind.

If we choose to let go and accept that we can’t always know the “end result”, stop struggling to see what as yet we simply can not see, then we award ourselves a little freedom.

Its simply the dark side of the moon that is in the shadows, but we know ~ eventually light will win through and all will be revealed. ~SR~

The moon card is asking us to “go within” trust our intuition, our inner wisdom. Take the light of the moon and use it to invigorate you, charge your energy, sharpen your intuition and keep pushing forward, have faith, until the dark becomes the light and all is revealed.

For the week ahead

Firstly as I always say… take some time out for yourself! It is allowed!

When I do “General Readings” as the tarot card of the week is, I always say ” this is a general reading and may not resonate with everyone, please take from it what you can and leave what you can not”. My readings are always psychic/intuitive readings and at times spirit led. This week I believe we can all take something from today’s reading.

All of us a times have felt, and there must be millions at the moment feeling the energies of the 6 of wands and The Moon card.

The Coronavirus (Covid19) Pandemic in which we all find ourselves is causing so much fear, desperation, loss and uncertainty. With people losing their jobs, not knowing if they will lose their jobs. Worrying how they are going to feed themselves or their children or even catch the virus themselves! (The Moon Card energy).

And yet in some ways also showing through are faith, belief, inspiration (Captain Tom), Trust, Optimism, Accomplishments and people putting “themselves out there” and receiving the recognition they deserve e.g. Doctors, Nurses, Front line Workers. (The 6 of Wands energy).

Both cards today talk of the big challenges we all have to endure at some stages in our life. Success and Fear of Failure.

So if you are lucky enough to find yourself in the throes of success, building your empire or on the road to it, them pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself. But remember keep the ego in check, stand back, stay grounded and make solid plans for the future. Don’t fall into the trap of the energy of the Moon Card of fear and misguided illusions. Others will look up to you and become inspired by you for what you have so far achieved. An over inflated ego could easily change all that.

If you are not the one who is spoken of above, then take a look around you. Is there someone you know who is striving to achieve success despite the pandemic, who is trying to stay positive, who deserves to be noticed for what they are achieving or are trying to achieve?

In the UK youngsters will soon be receiving their exam results, they have all worked so hard towards them, but now are to receive only “assessments” as a grade thanks to the restraints of the pandemic and not being able to Physically sit their exams. They have all gone through some much change, stress and worry as we all have, so lets “Switch on the Light”, Illuminate the “dark side of the moon” for them and congratulate them whatever the outcome.

There are so many examples I could mention of the energy of the 6 of Wands and The Moon Card as with all of the cards of the Tarot. My personal message to you all through these difficult times is try to take (as difficult as it is) the positives of both cards this week.

Don’t allow yourself to fall into the despair and uncertainty that the dark side of the moon card can bring, choose the light, face the fears, use you intuition, let it lead to the positive energies of the 6 of Wands. Try to stay optimistic, applaud yourself and others for any achievements however small. Have trust and faith in yourself. If you are looking for work “put yourself out here to be noticed”. Allow yourself to be inspired, inspired by others and try yourself to be the inspiration for others.

I know its not easy just do and be the best you can….

Until next time…. please take care and stay safe.
