This weeks Tarot card is the Ace of Cups (27th July – 2nd August 2020)
This weeks Tarot card is the Ace of Cups and considering what is going on in the world at the moment, where there is so much negativity and hatred its appearance is quite timely.
I’m not going to go into details, we all watch the news channels to some degree and are aware of what is happening in the world right now.
When I draw the card for the week I always “Tune in” as I shuffle the deck asking spirit to choose the card for me, asking “what is the message you have for the people for next week”. The card 9 times out of 10 will jump out with no need for me to select one. The same goes for the words (message) that I am bringing to you, they are also written whilst “tuning in”, so are completely inspirational.
The Ace of Cups is a card of love ( which is why I said quite timely). If you look at the picture in the card you can see the lady has just one cup and in that cup is her heart with energy (love) flowing from it. The card can signify new found love, as in a new relationship, newly found emotions ( a rekindling of existing love or relationship).
But as you will now see why I made the earlier comments about the timing the of card. The Ace of Cups is also about new friendships, new emotions, creativity, positive outcomes and “oneness” (a love for oneself).
Love for ourselves is so important and as the saying goes from a romantic point of view ” until you can truly love yourself, you can never truly love another”.
Our emotions are a powerful energy force and just as bad thoughts and feeling can spread negativity, feelings of love, joy and optimism that the Ace of Cups also signifies can spread positive energy.
I’m sure you will all agree WE, US, THE WORLD needs more Ace of Cups energy right now to help combat the negative, warring, antisocial, prejudicial, “me first” energy that we have in so much abundance across the world right now.
The Bonus Card
As I said earlier as I shuffle the cards I tune in and ask spirit to choose a card for “their message” to you and the same was done for the bonus card. What better card could they have chosen to accompany the Ace of Cups!
The message on the card reads: Love is the foundation of your existence and you’re just as worthy of receiving it as you are of giving love and compassion. While love can be a beautiful emotion, it is equally a form of energy that propels you through life.
I think with the message (words) that I have already intuited to you, that this card is confirmation of them and no more needs to be said.
For the week ahead
Firstly as I always say… take some time out for yourself! It is allowed!
If you are someone who has found new love or rekindled an old one I’m happy for you! All those feelings that love brings! Butterflies in the tummy, Excitement, Tingles, they’re great aren’t they!
BUT (and I don’t want to put a damper on things, I really don’t). Please remember the message of last weeks card The Seven of Swords. If you have not read it please do.
The Seven of Swords message that refers to this weeks reading was about balance. And in love…. just the same…. that which we give (our love) should be reciprocated equally.
So while you take time out stop and think about where there maybe someone in your life, where you are freely giving your love, but are not getting the same in return. If that is the case then please seriously re-think your attachment to them for your own health and sanity.
If your love is being fully reciprocated then that is brilliant! and please spread the joy, love and bliss you are feeling out into the world and around everyone you meet!
If the Ace of Cups (as it can) for you signifies a new found passion, the love of a new hobby or maybe turning the love of that hobby into an idea for a new business. Then keep those feelings of optimism, joy, desire that come with the Ace of Cups burning and radiate those feelings out into the world where it is so badly needed.
And most importantly… Nurture your own “self love”. I know a lot of people are of the thought that words like that are “silly”, “daft”, “stupid”, “new age mumbo-jumbo” but they are not. Love for ourselves is just (if not more) as important as love for another.
Until next time…. please take care and stay safe.
